Student leaders representing over 25 colleges and universities are expected to attend the regional conference, which will be held October 24-25, 2008, in Kansas City, MO. The Central States region includes Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
The theme of the conference will be: "The Power Is Yours: Muevelo" and the keynote speaker will be Carlos Ojeda, already one of the top-rated speakers in the nation. Click to see a tentative agenda and our speaker's bio.
The student leadership conference will focus on civic engagement, graduate school, fundraising for student organizations, the college experience and retention of Latino students, preparing for success, promoting collegiate leadership development, and creating a strong network of Latino student organizations in the Northwest.
